What is King of the Court?
King of the Court (KOTC) is a multi-court social format built around a simple ladder: the courts are ranked, and after every round the winning pair moves up one court while the losing pair moves down. The top court is the king court — the place everyone is fighting to reach and hold.
The rules in 60 seconds
- Setup: two or more courts, ranked bottom to top.
- Rounds: timed (often 10–15 minutes) — score as many points as you can before the buzzer.
- Movement: winners move up a court, losers move down; on the king court, winners stay.
- Partners: fixed pairs or rotating, depending on the session.
- Winner: whoever ends the session on the king court — or tops the points leaderboard in tracked versions.

How does King of the Court work in padel?
